WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR 3 TO 4 HOURS ON THURSDAY AUGUST 27 AT 8AM!!
We (Orlando Disc Golf Club and World Champion Disc Golf Design) will be pouring the first batch of "blue" concrete tee pads on "T2-The Turkeynator" on Thursday morning starting at 8am. We are only doing SIX at a time, so we should be finished before noon.
Unlike many other parts of a disc golf course, we only have ONE chance to get the new tee pads poured and surfaced properly.

News for those of you looking for disc golf on the wii. There is a second disc golf game available! Big Beach Sports joins Super Monkey Ball in the realm of wii disc golf with their own installment. While still light years from the real thing, this does make some significant steps past Super Monkey Ball's offering.
With the Big Beach Sports version, you can chose between three discs: driver, midrange, and putter. You can also angle the disc and choose throwing styles: backhand, sidearm and tomahawk. There is casual and tournament play on this 18 hole course on the beach next to the ocean.
While the graphics are cheesy, and the play is fairly simple (many short holes), it shows that a real wii disc golf game is possible.
Night Doubles at Turkey Lake will be suspended due to daylight savings. They will resume next fall.
The Melbourne Open (ams) will be held this weekend at Wickham park. Click here for details. |
2-24-09
Hole 3 will be unplayable until April 2009 or so due to major oil pipeline construction. People are warned to PLEASE stay (far) away from the large green pipe going down the fairway as it is holding nearly 2000 POUNDS of pressure! The rest of the course is largely unaffected by the construction."

Also down the road is the Tour Del Sol #4 tourney which will be April 25th.
Both events will be held at Turkey Lake Park. For more info on these events, please visit the activities page. |

Holes 4,5, & 7 have a temp route in place marked by alternate baskets. The normal hole will remain in place so that either route can be played. Click here for a map and pictures of the alternate route.

Disc Orlando is back with a new look! Please
bear with us as the site continues its transformation.
Things will be changing pretty consistantly over the
next couple of weeks.
The courses page is more complete than ever. Both Barnett
and Turkey Lake courses have pictures for every hole.
UCF has some pictures available and a new course will
be added shortly which is located in DeBary.
Lots of updates to the events page to come soon also.
If you dont see something now, check back in a week
and there is a good chance it will be there. As always,
happy discing!
6-30-07
Barnett has finally split!! Instead of sharing
two holes, Barnett park now has two independant 18 hole
courses. The two shared holes now belong to the north
course and two new holes were created for the parkside
course (formerly 17a and 17b). Pictures for the new
holes will be up soon! On a side, but just as important
note. Discorlando.com is pretty much live now. Be on
the lookout for promotional flyers etc at your local
course.
6-10-07
IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!.
Both Turkey Lake and Barnett courses have pictures.
I will go through and replace some of the crappier ones
soon, but the bulk of the work is done. Also, the Tourneys
and Records have been replaced. There is now an activities
page which will have information on weekly events as
well as area tournaments. The disc n dat page will be
home to lost and found as well as aces and anything
else that might need a place on this site.
6-2-07
I think this sucker is almost ready to go live. Turkey
Lake Original and T-2 have a couple new pics as i start
replacing the crummier ones with better ones.. Barnett
Parkside has pics through hole 18 now. I need to get
out there and snap some better ones, espcecially for
the back nine. North course needs pictures as well.
Only holes 2,3 and 12 have pictures up.. Buttons will
be changing shortly as well. Stay tuned.
5-25-07
News.... News... News... The site is almost workable
now. The interface was redesigned to make it easier
to navigate. Further changes will be made as the site
goes forward both before and after it goes live. The
Activities page will probably be renamed "events"
and feature league nights etc.
THE COURSES PAGE HAS LIFE!!!
Every hole on Turkey Lake original, has some pictures.
There are a couple duplicates here and there but that
will change. T-2 at Turkey Lake has pictures through
hole 10. I have pictures for the rest of the holes and
should have them up by the end of the weekend. The Barnett
Parkside course has pictures up through hole 11. There
are not as many per hole because I havent had a chance
to photograph the course enough.
All the tee pads are poured for turkey lakes T-2 course
except hole 14 & 16. The pads are nice and grippy.
Green "rec" tee signs will be going in in
the next couple of weeks.
UCF course relocation is coming along nicely more details
on that on the courses/ucf page. It should be open by
midsummer. Ill keep you all posted.

T-2 at Turkey Lake is coming along. All the red tee
signs are now installed except for hole 2. Special thanks
to Discgolfcenter.com, Gregg Hosfeld, Signtek Graphics,
and Duncan Stelzer for making that happen. The red pads
are now in for the front nine and most of the back.
Check out holes 13 and 15 because they have a new look.
4-15-07
T-2 will have new signs printed for the Red Tee's. Some
minor changes are being made to a couple of the holes,
but look for new signs in the next month. Also, pictures
are only available on the T-2 course and first couple
of holes of the Original course at Turkey Lake. Hopefully
more will be up in the next month. UCF course is being
redesigned and should be challenging disc golfers in
O-Town in the next year or so.
2-22-07
Turkey Lake's T-2 course is getting cement tee's! Pouring
has begun on the red tees at T-2 and should be done
in the next month so. The cement has been dyed red and
will replace the carpet tee's that are currently in
place. Having played on them, I would like to say they
are very grippy!
