Big news at Turkey Lake. The Blue Tees are being poured today on the T-2 course. The ODGC is assisting in the project which will also include the Blue Tee for hole 18 of the original course.

F. Burton Smith course page update. Pictures are available for holes 1 through 9 now and the rest are on the way. The remaining 15 will be up in the next week or so. To show love for F. Burton, the photo for this month is hole 6.

As im sure most have noticed. There is no Summer Points Series at Barnett Park this year. No details on if it will resume in 2010.

The Orlando Parks & Recreation department is holding 3 public meetings to discuss their master plan for the next 10 years. This is a perfect chance for players to voice our support of the sport and rally to get some more quality courses in the Orlando area! Mark Jannsen and James Lebaube spoke in front of the commission at the first meeting. The two remaining meetings will be held at 6:30 pm at the date and place below.

June 15th - Northlake Park School

June 17th - Dover Shores Community Ctr.

If you can't make one of these meetings, you can still show your support by taking a few minutes to
fill out this short survey(click here).Currently there is only 1 disc golf facility in the Orange County Park's system, which is Turkey Lake Park (Barnett Park is an Orange County park).

One Grand Disc Golf Tour

Gregg Hosfeld has played 1000 courses! The big 1000 was shared with Ben Calhoun has played over 700 courses this year!

Congratulations to both of these discgolfers as they have made history. Their 1000 was played at the International Disc Golf Center's new 18 hole Jim Warner Memorial course. Please see the links below for more details on this historic event.
