The Orlando Disc Golf Club hosted the 2nd annual “Dog Days Drive Off” fun-draiser event (for the 2010 Orlando Open) on Saturday August, 14th. The event attracted over 30 Central Florida disc golfers and raised over $800 toward feeding an anticipated sold out tourney of 180 players.

The DDDO was a looong day of disc golf.  Everyone played the blue tees of T2 in the morning and then 10 holes of combined-fairway golf (soon to morph into T3-Turkzilla)

James LeBaube won the Pro division and Mark Janssen won the Am division.

The club also gave away CTPs and an Innova-Traveler basket, which was won by Daytona's Terry Hild

The concrete pour for 5 green level tees and 5 blue level tees on T-2 at Turkey Lake will be WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 25TH.
PLEASE contact Gregg Hosfeld or James LeBaube if you can make it. Click on their names for email. More people lighten the load for EVERYONE!

Big news about the UCF Arboretum Course! The course has been redesigned to a 9 hole layout that circles the Arboretum. This makes the layout and photos on the UCF page invalid. New pics and details on this revised layout will follow.

There is a
work day planned for Turkey Lake on Sunday, August 15th to frame the remaining long tees on the T-2 course. If you would like to lend a hand, meet at the maintenance shed in the park at 8:30am. The actual tee pad pour is scheduled for Wednesday August 25th. Bring water and any tools that might be helpful.

Also coming up at Turkey Lake Park is the Dog Days Drive-Off. This event is on Saturday and will be a 2 round event. For more details, click here.
